Registration
When do these programs occur?
Most families travel during non-school time, like over spring break or at the end of the school year. You’ll notice recommended travel dates for each program; please let your WorldStrides representative know if you have others in mind, and they’ll do their best to accommodate.
I want to offer this program at my school or organization. Will that require a lot of my time?
Not at all. Once you register, we’ll handle all the details. Your organization doesn’t need to be involved in any way and pays nothing. Your WorldStrides representative will work with you to get everyone on board and excited about this incredible opportunity.
Fundraising
Are there resources to help me fundraise?
Yes! We offer an easy-to-use, student-driven fundraising program called the Gift of Education. Students can send e-cards, letters, and share links on Facebook so that friends and family can make a direct donation to the program in one simple click. Check out our online Fundraising Guide for more information.
Can I spread out program payments?
Yes. Families can sign up with an initial deposit, then pay the remaining balance in smaller monthly installments prior to travel. For those requesting financial assistance, WorldStrides offers over $2.5 million annually through the Future Leaders of American Government (FLAG) Foundation.
On Tour
Can I arrange my own transportation to and from the program?
Yes. We understand that may people have travel loyalty programs and frequently use points to book their transportation. One of our travel experts will work with you to determine the best, most budget-friendly option for you and your family.
Is always there a guide with me?
You’re never alone! A WorldStrides staff member will accompany you throughout your whole program. You will be met by a representative upon arrival at your destination. You’ll also have a destination expert, called a Course Leader, to guide your group through your itinerary. At the hotel, chaperones are available day and night to facilitate check-in, assist with meals, and provide a watchful eye at night.
What happens if a traveler needs medical attention on tour?
WorldStrides has an exclusive partnership with the Department of Emergency Medicine at the George Washington University. Our Doctors on Call program provides free, direct access to doctors around the clock. You’re also supported by WorldAssist, a live 24/7 support hotline.
